AIDS is not spread through casual contact! Casual contact means:
• AIDS IS NOT SPREAD by touching a person with AIDS
• AIDS IS NOT SPREAD by shaking hands with a person with AIDS
• AIDS IS NOT SPREAD by hugging a person with AIDS
• AIDS IS NOT SPREAD by sharing bathroom facilities with a person with AIDS
• AIDS IS NOT SPREAD in swimming pools or jacuzis
• AIDS IS NOT SPREAD by sneezing, coughing, or spitting
• AIDS IS NOT SPREAD by using dishes, utensils or food handled by a person with AIDS
• AIDS IS NOT SPREAD through normal daily contact at work, at school, or at home
Based on studies of 300 households, where persons with AIDS are present, not a single case has been found where AIDS has been tranmitted through casual contact. These studies include households where children have shared toys, bottles, and toothbrushes with other children affected by AIDS.
